Welcome to Fiasco Flair, a fashion spinoff of the incredible blog Foodie Fiasco. My name is Christine and I am here to show you the things I wear on a day-to-day basis. In no way is this blog meant to tell you the “rules” of fashion; if you don’t like something that I’m wearing or how I paired an outfit that’s okay.
I couldn’t find a blog that gave me inspiration so I created one and hopefully now I can inspire you to wear what you love in a way that makes you feel good. Okay, now that I’ve sufficiently rambled, let’s get into the post!
It’s July, which means it’s summer (obviously), which means it’s time to break out the miniskirts. I love wearing skirts in the summer because of the heat. There’s no better way to look extra classy and still be comfortable than in a skirt. Obviously, there’s more than one style of skirt, but for this particular look, I chose something tight on the bottom to counteract the flowy top.
This shirt is one of my favorites to wear with tight bottoms of any style. It goes well with jeans, a skirt, shorts, or leggings and versatility is where it’s at. I know the color doesn’t exactly scream summer, but hey I’m a rulebreaker we can just call this avant-garde or something.
I personally believe that simple jewelry is the best jewelry so I just have on a pearl necklace. I love this particular necklace because it goes well with everything and it’s super easy to just put on and run out the door. No hassle or maintenance required.
I’ve found that this shirt also looks really cute with a halter bralette if that is more your style. I am completely supportive (hah bra jokes) of the bralette trend since in certain situations it can be more comfortable than a regular underwire bra.
You’ll learn very quickly if you’re new here that my hair situation is best left alone doing it’s thing, so that’s pretty much what I did here. I showered at night, woke up in the morning, looked in the mirror, and said to myself “this is as good as it’s gonna get.”
Whether you like bralettes or bras, simple jewelry or lots of jewelry, flowy or tight, there’s something you can do with this outfit. Trust me, I won’t ever say you can’t do something with your clothes on your body. Fashion is about empowerment and if you can’t tell, I love this outfit and it makes me feel great. My goal when I get dressed every morning is to go out into the world feeling happy. Once you start wearing what you love, it’s one less thing to worry about. Now that I’ve given you a bunch of my weird metaphorical ramblings on empowerment, there’s one last thing you should know, you look great!
Sincerely, Christine
